Dealing with Social Anxiety: Need Advice

okay so I'm not 18 and older, or actually diagnosed with SAD, but I'm scared for my future if I don't take action now. I have been shy my whole life but it's progressively getting worse. I always told myself I would speak more and have more friends in the future but the opposite actually happened. I feel so uncomfortable around people and I even twitch a bit now. I've been scared of people my whole life. I want to have friends, I want to be comfortable around people. I need to do something before it gets worse so do you guys know what I should do?

maybe talk to a therapist if that’s a fiscally viable option for you? mine definitely helped get me to explore new opportunities being a introvert to the nth level

I agree with hale. Talking to a therapist may give you some tools to understand how to cope with your anxiety. It won’t make it go away, but it will teach you how to control and tame it
