Dealing with Social Anxiety in Relationships

How do you deal with being in situations that start stirring up social anxiety? I do eventually want to find a partner, but even if I'm talking to someone I like, my anxiety starts having a go about situations that could happen. Then I end up becoming really distant and just end up losing contact with them. I know talking to people will help this, but my anxiety just gets too much 😔 Any advice I'd really appreciate 💜

This happens to me too. I actually just have to push myself to keep in touch. Put reminders in your phone. Put notes on the fridge. Whatever you think will help you remember to call or text someone you like. For me texting is easier because it’s less “in my face” if you know what I mean.

Someone who understands you can help with this if they know what is going on aswell it pays to have a careing partner who can be a safe place for you in public like sitting with them in a quite place ect

Communication is key, always try and tell the other person how you are feeling, if you are anxious and need some time to process and settle they will understand and check in with you from time to time, there are lots of good tips and tricks, its a matter of trying things out and finding what works for you ;)
