Experiencing Dispersonalization with Anxiety

Hi I have been looking at some of the comments an things but I would like to know if anyone experiences dispersonalzation with anxiety? I feel as if I’m in a bubble or things aren’t real. It is scary to me but I have learned that is is my brains way of escaping overwhelming thoughts.

You are not alone!!! This is a common symptom. With me, it feels like my head is floating about 5 feet above and to the right of my body and I get really dizzy. I just try to sit, breath through it and wait for it to pass. You are right, it is just your body's way of saying, "Hey, slow down, look around, listen to me cause I need a minute." But dont feed alone. You're not!!!

My body tends to do a reboot when things are to overwhelming. Best way I can explain it is, my body go unconscious but is locked. Muscles and joints lock up in whatever position I am in. My husband has tried to move me and can not. I come out of it confused and cry because I don't know what had happened.

yes all the time! when i overthink, am over exhausted from stress or sometimes even in the middle of a panic attack i get this way.
