I use it at night for pain and to help me sleep as I have painsomnia.

It is an antidepressant but it is a sedating one. If you need help sleeping, it will definitely help you there. You may have to get a little more sleep because if not you’ll feel a little hung over. I have taken it for over 30 years now for PPMD. I could probably quit taking it as I have been through menopause and should? no longer have the PPMD but I think my body is dependent upon it. If I don’t take it, I don’t sleep at all.

I’m on doxepin for anxiety and skin picking issues I have. I take 50mg in the morning and 100mg at night. I’ve been on it for almost 2 years.
