Skin Issues with EDS: Stretch Marks and More

Does anyone experience skin issues with EDS. My skin in certain areas has developed these what are now large stretch marks, and the skin is super stretchy in those areas. What other skin issues does EDS cause?

I was just tested for Mast Cell last week by my allergist. I have dry skin & it itches like crazy sometimes. My arms are scarred up. A simple scratch will leave a permanent scar. I also bruise very easily! I don’t even know where most came from.

My skin tears extremely easily, I keep a suture kit at my house and one in my bag. Sometimes skin will tear and I'll just stitch it up, I've been going to the hospital for stitches since I was able to walk and pretty much lived in the hospital. I recently aged out of the children's hospital side so now I just do it myself. BUT if you do get hurt and your skin is like mine, on a trip to the ER ask for "LET" which is lidocaine epinephrine and tetracaine topical, then injectable lidocaine and more often than not, try to get horizontal mattress sutures. Simple interrupted sutures can rip straight through my skin and horizontal sutures are made to relieve tension. If you bruise easily ask to get your blood pressure taken on your forearm with a child's cuff. Also, I realized that clothes have taken a toll on my body over the years, I just decided on slip on jeans without buttons and zippers, super simple and soft clothing. Over the years the buttons inside my pants have left scars without even breaking my skin so before you get to that point soft clothes are amazing. I grew up with this I have twenty years of answers lol I'm excited to meet more people with this, I never have before.
