Portion control and negative calories. If you're basically inactive, you can probably alternate between 800 to 1200 calories a day. 800 calories is considered a very low calorie diet (vlcd) but you can find amounts and serving recommendations on line. If you can't find, let me know. I've got a cheat list.

I do not recommend an 800-1200 calorie diet. You might lose weight quickly, but it won't be sustainable and it can do damage to your organs and mental health. My nutritionist recommended using the plate method. Have a quarter of your plate be grains or starches, a quarter proteins, and half veggies and fruits. Eat when hungry, but be mindful while eating, not distracted. Stop when you feel yourself filling up.

I agree with dancingbanana. 800 calories diet is too extreme, and it would obtain the opposite. Instead of losing weight, your body will get into a stress state, and would save energy instead of losing it

Slower is better. Your stomach shrinks accordingly. Much better than extreme exercise and starving yourself.
