Need advice on getting IUD removed under anesthesia

People with endometriosis, I have to go under anesthesia soon to get my IUD removed because of how painful it was. The strings to my IUD disappeared so that made it pretty difficult. Can anyone tell me what to expect or have any advice?

Totally off topic but my symptoms got worse after I got off of BC. Be on the lookout for any new changes/symptoms!

I never never had an IUD because I was too afraid of it being super painful. I am sorry you are going through that :(
