Need Help with Energy Levels After Going Gluten-Free

Is there any supplements, medication, or treatments I should be doing/taking that will help me have more energy? Ever since I got diagnosed and went completely gluten free 8 months ago, I have had little energy!

Can you help? Connect today

Ooh same here. I’ve been gluten free for just over a year and I got my dx last March. Vitamins to take: iron, B12, and D Even though you’ve been gf for a while, your villi are probably still healing, so your energy might be directed there. What are your other symptoms? After getting celiac I got several other dx’s (POTS, small fiber neuropathy, alopecia, etc.). You could also be glutening yourself tiny bits without knowing it🤷‍♀️

I’d have your doctor test your b12 and iron levels. Mine were unbelievably low. I am now taking weekly b12 injections and a daily iron supplement and I feel like a new person. Some cereal is a surprising source of vitamins and minerals as well, unfortunately many are packed full of sugar too.

Make sure youre reading every info list on anything you injest even if it seems ridiculous, you could be getting little microdoses of gluten without knowing. Happened to me with my chewable melatonin vitamins, also some chapstick like Burts bees too
