ER Visit for Severe Pain with No Diagnosis

Have you all go to the ER for severe pain and they never find anything? I was having muscular pain in my arm and neck. Fortunately, they did send me home with some meds to take. Sometimes I might as well risk the pain even though it was symptoms of a heart attack.

Can you help? Connect today

omg yeah it's like heartbreaking when they say "good news you're fine" when you're in so much pain

It's great that I'm not having a heart attack, but I still feel something is wrong.

I'm the same way. Went to the ER about a week ago due to extreme pain and they did an xray, but of course found nothing. So they gave me medicine, which didn't help at all, and sent me home

I guess they figured just add more drugs to the many you're already taking!!!!!

Just remember x-rays see just bones MRIs see joints and muscles and ligaments discs etc. It can be hard to get those MRIs but when I finally did it was validating that I do have arthritis and degenerative disc disease. A regular Dr won't do anything for it so I have to go to the er and most of the time when I tell them my diagnosis and have brought in MRI results for them to see they're like ok we don't do ongoing chronic treatment but pain spikes are considered emergent care so If you need a breakthrough come see us.
