My essential tremors were diagnosed earlier this year by a neurologist. I take propranolol when needed but generally don’t take it because when my anxiety and caffeine intake decreased, my tremors decreased a lot. It’s still bad on some days though, even if I take medication on bad days they are still present.

I have essential tremors too. I was told it’s hereditary. My mom has them too. I take propranolol every day and it decreases my tremors significantly. But they never fully go away.

I have had mine since I was little and my neurologist said I would have them for the rest of my life. Mine are extremely prominent when I try to do small things or measure and can be seen in how bad my writing is. Mine have gotten better over the years but are still there unfortunately.
