How to Start Exercising with Depression: Tips for the Super Lazy

Hi. Go for a short walk. Set outside for a while. Reward yourself for going for a walk;

Start with small exercises then work your way up to more extensive ones. I think the app Finch offers run throughs of exercises like floor ones or couch ones too. You may want to look into that app, I've heard it is really helpful! :)

I just literally power walk while reading on my phone just back and forth in my apartment...I have problems leaving my apartment so just this type of fast pacing (and I use a tummy sweat band to help too) is really good at helping me to maintain or lose weight if I do it regularly. I do anywhere from 5,500-10,000 steps a day on average if that helps you too. I also have music on while I’m reading and walking 😂 it’s nice for almost all my senses to be stimulated while I’m walking so I don’t get bored.

Get someone you're comfortable with and walk with them or other basic exercises. Having someone to help keep you accountable is a good one that works for me. Having someone else do it with me helps
