You might ask your Dr if you might have sleep apnea. I have it and many times during the day I feel the same way you've described. I also use this little plastic therapy tool that helps me with my breathing throughout the day. I got it while in the hospital. It has these balls that you have to make go up to a certain point. It helps make me more aware of my breathing.
