Have you heard of TMS? It is a newer, non pharmaceutical treatment for Depression disorders. My daughter trains technicians for a company called Mindpath Health.

I have treatment resistant major depressive disorder. Medication never worked for me. Over the past 20 years I've been told I had nearly every depressive disorder there is and each doctor would throw a new med in to try but always with the same failed results. When I was finally properly diagnosed with the TRMDD, that doctor told me about TMS. It's a non pharmaceutical treatment for depression that uses magnets zapping your brain. Each session is 20 minutes and you have to go every day for a total of 30 sessions. My doc did my treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I've done it twice now and each time it changed my life. But after a year or so the depression would come back. They're now doing trials for a modified version where you only go for 5 days but you get more intense treatment. You can look up the research. Results so penonenal I'm hoping the new version is available soon! So the original treatments is called TMS (Transcranial magnetic stimulation) and the modified version being studies is called SAINT (Stanford accelerated intelligent neuromodulation therapy). I know that's a lot of info but it's so worth the read!

I am currently receiving Spravato Treatment because I have treatment resistant depression. I’m still taking Lexapro daily but the Spravato has helped significantly with my mood and motivation. It’s a form of ketamine and it’s very time consuming as you have to do the nasal spray in a psychiatrist’s office and be monitored for 2 hours after each dose. The first month, I went twice a week. I’m on my second month now and it’s just once a week. Let me know if you have any questions as I’m happy to answer them as best I can!

I’m currently doing transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I am about 2 1/2 weeks into it and I’ve had three days where I wasn’t depressed. This is out of the last 20 years or so. I also have treatment resistant depression so no medication works.

There are trails a John Hopkins with psychedelics. I’m thinking about joining one of those as well. I can’t take much more of this. 😥

I've just begun Trintellix and Buspiron. I'm quite nauseous and hope that goes away soon.
