Feeling like a fake neurodivergent

Sometimes I find that I didn't relate to a lot of experiences that other neurodivergents do, and although i relate to many i feel it might be more conplex than how media or surface research makes it out to be, and its hard to stop my brain from thinking if im just faking everything or if i legitimately need to go get tested.

I feel the same way about weather or not I’m just faking or not. But perhaps,,, because it’s not something that was talked about so openly in the past we feel the residual “lesser than” mentality of the situation and are trying to syke ourselves out. Because I really don’t think “normal” people are bothered by such questions so even the implication we’re different in some Capacity is a sign we are what we think we might be faking. Does that make sense? Or am I just rambling?

No no, that makes sense. It was something I never considered before because I always had one image of what neurodivergency looked like when I was younger, which is why I want to try and work through the more complex experiences I've been through. Thank you for this!

have you ever actually been tested and diagnosed with adhd. because if you’ve never been diagnosed and you’re wondering why you don’t have symptoms……

It's not that I don't have symptoms at all. There are many symptoms that I relate to that have affected my daily life, which is why i considered getting tested at all. I was talking more about specific scenarios, and you don't have to be diagnosed to have symptoms, you get diagnosed because of symptoms. It's not very easy to get a diagnosis in the position im in currently. I am not self-diagnosing, i am just trying to work through my experiences and why I want to get tested in the first place.
