Yes, same here. For me since I can't focus on staying present and I overthink too so I try to do activities that helps calm it down according to my interests. If I may ask- what do you love doing?

i enjoy drawing, reading and writing. i can stay present when doing those things, but when i'm out with others, it's very hard to connect to them. i'm terrified of doing/saying something wrong and it gets me stuck in my head..

When my brain is racing too hard and fast I go to do a little hobby that requires my attention enough that I cant keep overthinking but can still live in the moment. It's a balance to find something that will distract you but not so much you're on the opposite end and still not present. Things I've found that work for me are doodling, sewing and cross stitching, felting, and little games on my phone. The little phone games helps especially for if my thoughts are keeping me awake. I've found games that I will fall asleep to. Hope you can find some little things that work for you!

I'm keeping busy during the transition and working with my psychiatrist to get my meds right. For me keeping busy is hobbies I enjoy like music or playing with animals and I've been walking a few miles a day

Yeah, I’ve been overthinking a lot lately. I made an appointment to hopefully start meds. It’s been really rough for me recently. All I can say is hang in there, and do things to distract yourself and that make you happy. Maybe try meditation too. It’s helped me a couple of times.

meditation is good, i also try and do yoga. it's mainly though, when i'm out with others and don't have access to hobbies unfortunately.

i know it's seen as a hippie thing but meditation really helps with that, clearing your mind of thoughts and worries of the future or past and being in the present
