Been living with it (since my realization of what it was) for about six years now, I will say I’ve tried antidepressants, inconsistent talk therapy, and grounding techniques, the whole nine yards. To be honest, the only thing that has really worked for me is learning to live with it. I’ve been keeping an open mind about it and reaching out to more people within our little community. The most effective thing for me was talking about it! Even with my friends, family, and total strangers. I open up about this condition, what it is, and the hell it puts us through. The only thing I can really say is that it DOES get better. ❤️‍🩹 The gloom dissociation surrounds you in at first turns into just— distance. You start to really identify it, take it in, and just live with it as it is. I’ve learned that it’s okay, it’s just a feeling to me like all of my many other emotions.
