I’m my case, it was process of elimination. Blood tests showed it wasn’t RA, lupus, E-B, etc , so the rheumatologist said it’s fibro. I guess that’s the most common way to get a diagnosis.

I was diagnosed 2 months after my rare Arthritis. Using blood tests and tender pints. My new Rheumatologist tested me and It is mostly on my left side. But my hands, and legs on both sides.
