Struggling to Distinguish Between Fibromyalgia Symptoms and Injuries

Hi, I have fibromyalgia. I’ve been struggling with knowing when it’s just a new symptom of fibro or if I’ve injured myself and it’s unrelated. Sometimes I feel like a hypochondriac cuz I go to the doctor with so many questions they tell me nothings wrong and sometimes (like recently) I dislocated my knee and didn’t know for a month because I thought it just must be normal.

Yes I struggle with this too. I let an infection get really bad because I kept telling myself that they were going to just say it wasn’t that bad or why did you come in for this. I believe that because of all the times that my pain and suffering wasn’t taken seriously really messed up the way I think about things concerning my health. So you are definitely not alone. I just tell myself that it is a doctors job to see patients even if nothing is wrong and they get paid well to do so.
