Finally Got a Diagnosis! What's Next?

I FINALLY GOT A DIAGNOSIS!!! I’m so happy to finally put a name to my problem. Can anyone let me know what to expect with physical therapy?

In sessions, your physical therapist will massage our trigger points in your pelvic floor muscles. You may experience some pain, and if you do, it’s important to let your PT know. They will also teach you exercises to gain comfort with penetration, such as using a dialator. Dialators come in sets, with the smallest being about the width of a pencil, and the largest being about 3in wide. You start small, and work your way up. Your therapist may provide you with a set, or you may need to buy your own. That’s what my experience with pelvic floor therapy was like. Best of luck!

Dilation kits can be a bit pricey though so if you can get it through prescription that's ideal
