I agree. My house is a mess and everything is overwhelming.

That is one of the toughest parts of struggling with depression, it saps our energy and our desire to even get things accomplished. But what do try to do is I know there are little breaks in between where I actually feel OK and I try to take full advantage of them. Though by the time your finished all your energy you thought you had, just disappears. But at least I was able to get a small amount done.

I set aside me time....a few minutes for something i enjoy. I try to get out of the house at least 1 day a week for no other reason than being away. I take housework 1 thing and usually 1 day at a time. No set schedule on what day i do what chore. Keeps me from getting overwhelmed and i try to take time to enjoy the accomplished task. Like, ok Living Room is clean....sit there and soak in the orderly space before choosing another task.
