Finding People to Relate To: Cane Use

Hi, nice to meet y'all. Sorry it might take me a bit to open up, but I'd like to try! I've been having a hard time finding people to relate to. So, icebreaker: If you use a cane, what kind? And if a a young cane user, do you often have to deal with bullsh*t questions/judgement about it?

I’m not sure what kind my cane is. It’s just a regular one that’s black. As a young cane user, I feel like people are judging me and it’s uncomfortable. That’s something I’ve had to work on—having confidence using my mobility aids. I hope your cane has helped you! ❤️

Hello I am a young cane user, I’m looking to connect with people who can relate. Feel free to message me! I get sooo many questions about what’s wrong with me. I personally just use a regular black cane that I decorated with duct tape and sequins. My philosophy is if you have to use a mobility aid you mineaswell make it stylish! Plus I feel better using something that I personalized myself.

I use a cane I got from Walmart, along with a gripper bottom thing that I got from my great grand-father. I get weird looks and doctors and other people are Always asking about the cane and "What happened" Or "You're so young" But I just try to ignore them.
