Finding Relief for My Debilitating Nausea

nausea is my worst, most debilitating symptom- ive finally found something that kind of works. putting an ice pack on my chest calms down my nausea a little hit. i think its something to do with the vagus nerve?

Yes I have this exactly I usually use ice on my wrists or sometimes chew on ice to help. There are some other ways to stimulate the vagus nerve as well I’ve noticed when I am having severe panic attacks I end up gagging but not throwing up and then I feel better afterwards. It is a real thing. I think coughing can help as well. These others are not very healthy but just examples of how vague nerve stimulation can reduce nausea and vomiting

You nailed it! The vagus nerve is super important, and that's one of the ways to calm it down. Ice packs on your chest can also help with anxiety and panic attacks
