First HS Symptoms: How to Identify Them?

what were your guys first symptoms that pointed to HS? I feel I have it, but don't have insurance currently. ever since I've moved up to a state where its SUPER humid and I gained a lot of weight, and have been eating awful; and I started getting these nasty cysts/boils that lasted for a few days to weeks. They hurt so bad, and then popped eventually leaving awful scars. I got them in places where I shaved, but also on my booty also where I don ever shave. I can't tell if it was just skin cysts, or Hs. any tips on how to pin point it? it's getting better now, and I haven't had a cyst in a while now.

Couldn’t be sure. Mine started during puberty and still flares up on and off. I know being in hot/humid conditions and being overweight can make flare ups more likely. If the cysts are in your sebaceous gland areas (I.e. armpits, groin area, under breasts) it might be HS

Wash daily with acne 10% and anti-bacterial wash alternating. Leave it on spaces for at least a minute daily. My dermo recommended this and it helps.

Also cotton boxers help, per My Ob/gyn.

Well that sounds like h.s. Try b12, zinc and turmeric Try shaving with the hair. I use to wax and had at least 4-5, now I shave with dr bronner's castile soap and with the hair, I have one that's been stubborn 😣 but not painful . Keep the area cleaned and less friction as possible. Also I cover my cyst when they get really inflamed to help with bumping or sitting on them. Last, change your eatting I thought the doctors was on bs. But no.... when I took out gluten, cows milk, and high corn syrup. It changed everything !!!! The only thing I've been struggling on and off with is hormonal acne when I'm on my period. Total game changer !

I don't have an actual diagnosis yet, but am looking to get one. I was looking for boil remedies and the article I found about that pointed to this condition and the symptoms struck a cord with me. I've currently got two bad boils that I've had for multiple months and I can feel how deep they go into my skin is why it felt like I might have it. Both are on my left side. One's on my armpit and the other is on my inner thigh. I don't even know if I should see a dermatologist or see my GP for a diagnosis for this either.

My runner's knee in the left knee doesn't help with the boil on my thigh either, but that'll get better with time.

ugh I'm sorry you're going through that! It's awful, I csn relate dearly. I'd say go to a derm, but typically you have yo a gp first. I hope they've gotten better since this post!!
