I experienced this as well and decided the symptoms outweighed the benefits, so I'm trying something else. If it's bothering you, talk to your doctor about it. It's common to try a few meds before finding one that works for you.

Not the right medication for you. Talk to your doctor. If he says keep taking it and it's ok, right away find another doctor.

Yes but it is unrelated to the medication

Yes, I have insomnia and I sleep lightly too, which means I dream a lot and sometimes have nightmares. But I don't think it's because of the fluoxetine because I've suffered with insomnia for a while. It's part of my whole poor mental heath package, unfortunately :-( But then everyone is different, it could be not the right meds for you... I hope you get some sleep 🙏

I'm on Fluoxetine and I still fluctuate between periods when I wake up really early (3:30am this morning!) with a higher mood and periods when I oversleep with a lower mood. My doctor has told me to vary the dose according to my mood/sleep so I've cut down to 20mg alternate days to see if that balances me out.

Fluoxetine does seem to work for me though in terms of boosting my mood when needed and helping me to keep going through the lows.

I have really vivid weird dreams on fluxetine. It can either get disturbing or just super weird. I feel like my brain is just wayy too active

I have been trying to figure out why my insomnia was flaring up! This makes sense as I upped my dosage recently.

I have insomnia, have had it since high school, and I've had vivid nightmares just as long. Only been on Prozac for a few weeks, this time, but I haven't noticed any increase in the frequency of them. I assumed it was insomnia, not the medications I was on that caused them. Hope this helps.

Yes! Sometimes I have a hard time differentiating dreams from reality even if they’re nightmares :(

Yes. But I couldn't say it's an influence from the fluoxetine.

Since taking anti-depressants I've experienced an increase of vivid and strange dreams, this happened when I took Sertraline and still happens now I'm on Fluoxetine.

I used to be on Fluoxetine and it led to hullacinations and suicidal ideation
