Severe Elbow Pain with FM: Need Advice

Does anyone have severe elbow pain with their FM? My left elbow has been hurting for almost a month. I was having chest pain and went to the ER to make sure everything was okay and they said that was okay to rule that out. Sometimes it travels throughout the whole left arm. If my arm is dangling down it can make it worse. I loose sleep from the pain. Please help.....

I have tried that for stress and it did not help me. It was my first time though. Maybe I did not take enough 🤔

I recommend making sure you drink electrolyte drinks, like liquid iv. When my fm flares more than usual, I typically make sure I’m extra extra hydrated as it helps relieve muscle tension and the tightness in my arms/shoulders/chest. Also check your posture. Try to open up your chest and increase blood flow to your arms. This is what my doc has me do and it’s great! https://youtu.be/rT7rgXQtDcI

Of course, Vakara! Make sure you’re also intaking proper sodium levels because without it, your body won’t retain the liquid and you’ll just pee all of it out.

Medical marijuana intensifies my pain. But I’ve tried a tincture that was mostly CBD with low dose THC which seemed to help slightly. It’s just very expensive

Chest pain is probably Chostencondritis (cos-tuh-cuhn-dritus) which is a Fibromyalgia thing. First x it happened to me it was so scary. I was about 35. Thot I had pleurisy, which I'd had before, or having a heart attack. Aleve or even oral steroids.

Yes! That’s the first sign I am experiencing a flare and not just a bad pain day! Elbows and fingers hurt.

I had an electric test done on my arms and found out I have ulna damage on both arms. My hands go numb if I keep my elbows bent for to long. They also are very painful. I am going to see an orthopedic surgeon next week so we will see what happens.

Have you tried Low-dose naltrexone? It’s the antidote used for opioid overdose. There’s been several studies done around this approach and fibromyalgia pain. My rheumatologist has had great success w his patients. I tried it which did help with the pain but I’m quite sensitive to meds and had some side effects that didn’t agree with me. I don’t think they are typical and I have several friends who use this and it works wonders!

Mine hurt so bad I can hardly even eat. Recently started Lyrica and it seems to help a little. Right elbow so tender it hurts to touch.

I just recently discovered that fibromyalgia causes hand pain. Mine feels like bone pain and I have days where my hands don't want to work right. What does your pain feel like?

Today my right hand by my thumb is really hurting today I had broke that hand twice but I have not ever really had problems with it so I'm thinking that it just my FM. The pain in my arm is a deep pain.
