Frequent Low-Grade Fevers and Medication

Does anyone experience frequent low-grade fevers? Or the feeling of having a fever, but having a normal temperature? I have been getting small fevers for awhile, and it really sucks. Or I’ll feel feverish, but when I check my temperature, it’s around 97.5-98.7 Also, what medications do you take for fevers? I can’t take Tylenol because it makes my symptoms worse, so I don’t know what else to take.

Hey there. So, I’ve actually had that for the past several years, and it started around when I was diagnosed with IBS. So far, I haven’t really found anything that helps me on a daily basis. But I get feverish a lot, too. I’ve also had Covid twice, so I’m not sure if that has made it worse? I’m sorry I don’t have any good answers, but I’ll let you know if I find something that helps!

@Jack_Jack No, that was very helpful! I recently got over Covid actually; about 2 weeks ago. My fever was spiked at 102.0 while I had it. Maybe it really does make it worse? I hope we’re both able to find something that works!

I definitely think Covid has made it worse for me, even though my overall Covid symptoms weren’t terrible. I’m sorry you had to go through having it, it sucks! I always feel like my feverish feeling is worse in the beginning of the day, than around 1 it spiked up again. I guess ibuprofen helps a little, but I have to take so much that I prefer not to. Thank you for your quick response!

I constantly get low grade fevers. I either try to just wait them out or I take some Advil if they get too bad. I’ve actually noticed weed helps with the pain symptoms that come along with low grade fevers. I’m still trying to figure out how to manage them myself but just know you are not alone.

I deal with the same thing (never having covid) but frequent low grade fevers or just feeling body achey and face warm like I'm running a fever. I found that taking advil helps

I have that feeling and it's never an actual fever and apparently I have Lupus

Yup, might want to get an ANA to check for general inflammation and if that's positive an ELISA to check for more specific markers

Yes! Same! I feel hot and feverish and I'll check but it reads normal. I can't take Tylenol either, it makes me nauseous and dizzy. I only take ibuprofen. Do you also get dizzy and nauseated spells?
