Has anyone tried the G-POEM procedure for gastroparesis?

Has anyone heard of the G-POEM procedure for gastroparesis? I had it done last August and have definitely seen an improvement on my stomach problems.

I was just recently diagnosed with gastroparesis, and I'm having constant pain even if I drink a smoothie. I'm interested in what the G-POEM is and happy to hear your feeling better.

Hey there. The best way to explain it is to write exactly what the flyer I got said. "What is g poem surgery? During the G-POEM procedure, an×😊 endoscope (a narrow tube with a camera) is inserted through the mouth (peroral) to cut the muscles near the pyloric sphincter (a myotomy). They can also pin the muscle to help it to stay open. This helps permanently relax the sphincter, so food can empty freely." It wasn't too invasive and the procedure only lasted about an hour and a half and I only had to stay in the hospital for one night. My gastoric emptying study numbers went from 98% at one hour to 60%, at two hours it went from 85% to 54%, and then at the four hour point it went from 33% to 22% I wish I could say it completely fixed my gastroparesis but I am very happy with the outcome. It is a relatively new procedure but I'd do it all over again.
