Need Help with Gastritis Pain Relief

What do I do for pain relief? I take antacids, pantoprazole, Carafate, and avoid all NSAIDS, spicy, fried, and fatty foods. I’m miserable. My recent EGD shows moderate chronic gastritis. I can’t eat because the pain is so bad. I use zofran for nausea. It’s debilitating.

I bought the viome gut microbiome health test and it's changed my digestive issues. It's gives you a list of super foods, enjoy foods, minimize, and avoid. It's made a huge difference in my pain and bloating. It is a bit pricey, but it's been worth it to know what is safe to eat. They try and push a vitamin subscription on you, but I didn't do that. I'm still seeing great results without them. Though I do have my own daily vitamin regimen. Licorice and marshmallow root have helped with my gut, too.

I also have gerd, gastritis, and sibo so I get how debilitating gut issues are, they're no joke.

I’ve had two acute episodes of this and each of them took 4 months to heal from (I’m at the end of healing from my second episode.) I did everything you’re doing and it just took time. It’s completely miserable. 2 months ago I was in so much pain despite being on Carafate and the strongest PPI out there, and down to consuming nothing but bread, rice, and water. I took a few swigs of Pepto-Bismol along with Tylenol and I was able to calm things down for a while.

Start anti-inflammatory diet. You will be surprise how much food is high in acid. I started listening to the acid diet watcher on audible. It was written by a gastroenterologist who had gastritis himself. I eliminated all process foods, and increased fiber intake. I take additional supplements for the gut health and because antacid cause nutrient deficiency.
