Ask flat out. Your doctor usually doesn't for a reason usually they know they are expensive. But you be can see any specialist without a referral. Are you doing this to get your insurance to pay for it? And I mean if you really want to either way there are some doctors that are pushovers and only act as "facilitators" and write you anything you want so you won't write a bad review. (This is one reason I read the commented reviewsib dune want a yes man as my doctor. I would have to know if your have private insurance or public. You're prolly better off spending $200 for a full genetic markup with I think something like ancestry or 23andMe will show you a family history of what we would call race and a genetic likelihood of what you're at risk for.
