Recovering from GI Bleed: Need Quick Bland Diet Meal Suggestions

Hello, I am about a week into recovery from spontaneous upper GI bleed, poorly managed, lost 2 units of blood while in ER, minimal care until shift change then rushed for emergency surgery. They didn't do a transfusion so am needing to build up on my own following the BLAND diet. So much contradicting info on what's okay to eat or not, wow! wondering if anyone has suggestions for quick, go to bland diet meals as I am also a single.working mom so double meals are tough on top of being depleted. thank you!

Sorry you were put through all that. Similar thing happened to me too when I went to emergency on New years day. They were taking everyone before me and when I finally was called and my situation evaluated....I had a team of Doctors in the room. Also anemic (ulcers) causing it so far. But they want me to have a colonoscopy to rule out any blood loss from there. I had 2 blood transfusions but wasn't put on a special diet. On the day they released me I was on the verge of needing another transfusion but was put on iron pills. I take them 3 times a day every other day. BUT still blood work shows my red cells are still low.
