Dealing with Health Issues and Returning to Work

hi, I'm new here. I've got lots of health issues and just started working after 13 years of raising my son and dealing with health issues. I feel like new health issues keep popping up, it's really annoying. I just want to feel normal but have realized this is my normal. I'm open to any questions or topics (no judgment ever!)

I totally understand, I’m in the same boat. Realizing this is your normal is both relieving and heartbreaking, in my opinion. Feel free to reach out to me if you ever want to talk

same. There’s a grieving process we all have to go through so we can be at some kind of piece with our situations.

I definitely grieved (and still grieve in some ways) the life I expected to have before I became chronically Ill. It’s normal and honestly helpful. We grieve for other things for closure and I needed (and still need) closure. It’s really hard, especially in the work force. Sending you spoons!!

I definitely agree 100% I'm still grieving. I just had a way different image of what my life would be. I'm grateful I've been able to get back to work but the daily pain is crazy. The paycheck makes it more worth it but the hard part I have is Noone understanding what I'm going through. My husband has an idea but truly know. If only we could let people feel our pain for a day!

I definitely feel the "lots of health problems" thing. I feel like one of those 20,000 domino art pieces, like one system failed and the rest of my body followed suit, except instead of a cool picture my dominoes just made a sad excuse of a 23 year old lmao

you nailed it! I'm 36 and I feel like in 70. I've seen 70 year old in better condition than me! It's gets frustrating but I do my best to keep positive.

I'm also in this "life raft" of a boat with all of you. I've experienced traumas both emotional and physical in my life that I've read likely contributed to having Fibromyalgia/Chronic Pain. Anyone else experience this too?
