Hi, I hope you’re doing well! I got a catheter cardiac ablation to control my AVNRT & Wolff Parkinson’s white syndrome. I had it done around the age of 13 & I’m 21 now, so it’s been a little while haha. Following the procedure I felt fantastic, especially the next few years following. As I’ve aged & gotten older, I notice more complications & the symptoms that I felt before having the ablation performed. However, I was told that sometimes a new pathway can form & I might have to have another ablation done later on in life — I’m thinking this is coming sooner rather than later, as I’m struggling with it again now. My recovery was very easy, I was put on blood thinners for a short time following so that I wouldn’t get blood clots, & I had to make sure to clean/take good care of the insertion points where the catheter was placed. I had no discomfort following the procedure immediately just nausea/vomiting from coming off the anesthetic. Wishing you luck! Chat anytime
