How to Choose a Therapist or Treatment Center?

How do you pick a therapist/treatment center? I was thinking of doing intensive Outpatient therapy through an eating disorder center, however my eating issues are more of a secondary symptom of my borderline rather than a primary issue. I don't really want them to focus on the eating issues as a primary problem as my brain would make me feel that I was invalid and needed to get worse with that specific symptom to deserve treatment. However I'm not aware of a way to find treatment in multiple comorbidities other than an actual center. Has anyone went through this before?

I haven't been here in a while so if you found your answer then ignore this but. Find someone who works specifically for borderline personality disorder and specifically does dbt therapy. (Dbt is the best most recommended way to help borderline)....you can search therapist using psychology today site to look which matches the conditions and insurance if you have one.
