Hyped up benydryl. Only made me sleepy. So I was anxious, sleepy, frustrated and often pissed. Not a good mix

I take that same med and I take double that. But I don't feel sedated. I wish I did. But it helps a lot with anxiety. I love that med because it helps with anxiety. Its the best med out there for anxiety in my opinion. But you have to find the best dose for you. I have heard you can feel sleepy on it. I use to take 100 mg of it at a time and still didn't feel sedated so I have a strong system. But I love it for my anxiety. But 50mg for me works perfectly.

Hydroxyzine was prescribed to me for panic attacks specifically as an “as needed” and insomnia, not necessarily for everyday anxiety, and I found it worked well but, as most of you mentioned, because it has a sedative affect. I don’t see anything wrong with that considering the way I was directed to use it, but I was never able to take it if I had to drive later. I would recommend for an as needed medication or sleep aid, but definitely not as a daily medication.

I've used it as a daily medication for a few months to help with sleep. I take buspar for anxiety so it's hard to tell if it's if it's helped at all as my anxiety is still pretty bad even taking both. It also hasn't really made my insomnia any better. Sometimes it will make me tired but I still can't fall asleep. It's basically a different kind of benadryl as an antihistamine. I think a lot of it depends on how bad it is. i got prescribed this as a sleep aid. it’s basically just a stronger version of benadryl and i think when it’s prescribed for anxiety i think it’s at night and to help with insomnia. i’ve been taking it for a few months now and don’t really feel much of an affect unless i take two but i only do that on nights where i have something going on the next morning.
