I'm not sure if I was born with it but I wasn't diagnosed until 25 when I made my doctor test my thyroid because I was abnormally tired and couldn't lose weight no matter how hard I tried. I've always been abnormally tired since I can remember though so I may have been. How do you know if you were born with it?

the doctors are sure I was because even as an infant I struggled to gain weight and showed some signs but because my mom didn't know of any family history they didn't test for it right away.

I was diagnosed at 10 and that too because I got my periods way too early. It was very hard for me to get diagnosed as well. It took the doctors around 1½ year to reach a definitive answer.

I was diagnosed pretty much as soon as I was born. I was born without thyroid glands at all.

I was born with hypothyroidism. Sometimes you can be born with it and the doctors don't check for it specifically but I was lucky because I've had family history of thyroid problems.
