PTSD Symptoms Mimicking Autism: Seeking Similar Experiences

I wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar experience with their PTSD journey as I do. I was told I exhibit signs of high functioning autism and that I should get tested but the person who gave the test said it was most likely just from the PTSD. has your ptsd symptoms mimicked autism or is it just me?

I actually talked to a friend about this. Trauma symptoms can mimic autistic traits, especially if you experienced trauma young. Ex. I have trouble looking people in the eyes but it stems from the fear I could be harmed and not because it’s uncomfortable.

Not 100% sure but I exhibit some autism traits (no diagnosis) and have PTSD, definitely could be a link but also could just be a coincidence

I actually work with people with developmental disabilities including autism. It’s opened my eyes to how much my ptsd relates to the people I help every day. I definitely think they can mirror each other a lot I do know my therapist has told me ptsd and adhd also are a lot similar

I was told by a non licensed or educated person that I could have ADD because they were watching a video on it and it described me.
