Does having a cold trigger IBS symptoms?

I am curious if this is similar for any of you, but when you have a cold does your IBS flare up? I have a cold and my sinus cavities have been draining nonstop and I think it might be attributing to all the cramping and diarrhea I have at the moment. Is this something any of you experience?

oh yeah, pretty much every time i get a cold my ibs flares up. even just allergies can do it, which is probably because of the drainage like you said. it usually depends on how long the cold lasts or how bad my symptoms are, but it’s definitely not uncommon for me

Not in particular. It seems the same regardless if I have a cold or not
