Had to go thru so many tests (ultrasound, endoscopy, etc.) & be told I "just have heartburn" only to randomly find a video on YouTube explaining Tight Junctions...I might not have Celiac, but gluten does not agree with my digestive tract 🙅🏻‍♀️ thank goodness for digestive enzymes
avatar

yumzy199725

1y

Yeah definitely caffeine but can't cut it out all together so have to have it at some point I drink decaffeinated tea aswell.

Can we add an every single thing option? I can eat healthy and have little processed sugars and I'm still dying in the bathroom I think.

Some dairy, like regular milk or ice cream, messes with my asthma. But that's it.

Really anything can set off a flare. Too much sugar. Too much protein. Too many carbs. Too many veg. Random never the same.

1y

Garlic, onion, peppers, acidic foods and butterfingers
avatar

Starsunmoon

1y

onions are a big one for me! I didn’t eat any red meat for years, then realised that it sometimes made me sick because people put onions in burgers! I can eat mince meat now, and I avoid onions at all costs
avatar

1y

I can't have acidic stuff.. pineapple, oranges ect. Which stinks because I love them!!

Mainly artificial dyes. But maybe I should cut most of these out once I can afford it and see if there is any difference.
avatar

1y

So far, the only food that gives me the pain is Pizza, and that's only if I accidentally eat too much, I have to eat it slow and not alot at once or I feel like I'm dying later.

Sodas and artificial sweeteners kill me
avatar

willownyx

1y

it's strange, some sodas really upset my stomach and some are completely fine and I haven't quite figured it out yet ^^;; but cheese specifically always makes me feel super sick, along with red meat and any hot drinks giving me symptoms similar of food poisoning or an allergic reaction of some kind. not sure why it happens but I just try to avoid them as a result (or I live with the consequences of eating cheese anyway because it tastes so good but is so goddam deadly aaa)

My only sensitivity that isn't an allergy is for specific types of icing. Usually decorators icing is the worst and cream cheese, whipped cream, and marshmallow icings seem to be the best for some reason.

easy, milk affects me the most. but not because of my illness. i’m mildly allergic to it 😅 won’t stop me from eating ice cream though

Not necessarily always fried but when something has just way too much grease on it where it's dripping grease, that usually messes with my stomach bad.
avatar

1y

When I stopped eating French fries for every meal my hands stopped locking up as bad
avatar

pixieluna

1y

I'd have to say diary but it's mainly milk. I get really ill if I have milk, yet I can eat cheese in moderation with no effect
avatar

Seae

1y

You could be lactose intolerant; the amount of lactose drops off sharply when cultured or fermented (yogurt, cheese, etc). Might be worth trying Lactaid?
avatar

carter._.16

1y

Fried foods, carbonation, dairy, too much caffeine, too much sugar. Fresh fruits and veggies make me sick so that's fun. There's a lot thats just not good for me :/
avatar

serunika

1y

For me, the worst is refine sugar. After sipping sweet drinks, my body will respond to it quickly with feel-like a 'burn' sensation on my back.. another trigger for me: msg. I easily got petechiae or nosebleed afterwards.
avatar

Neuco

1y

Anything with high fibre or high acidity. Annihilates my colon. Only thing on the list that's iffy for me is soda because of the fizz.

not a food specifically but greese. i love pizza and other greecy foods but if something has like the wetness of greese all over it, i dry it or avoid it. if i eat too much greese i get really sick and ready bad acid reflux.

I cannot digest cruciferous vegetables. They absolutely kill and murder my stomach. Brussel sprouts = death in my tummy. Sometimes natural is not always the best. This will flare up my acid reflux big time. Extreme stomach discomfort.
avatar

if my symptoms have been bad recently I cannot tolerate them or leafy greens. Otherwise they seem to be fine in small amounts for me.

I can't eat a lot of dairy as it affects my skin causing it flare up and creak like eczema and it's sets my chest off I have switched to oat and almond milk but these still flare up my skin and tomatoes, pineapples and peaches set off my chest and my stomach cramps and I m allegric to these anyway

I'm no good with alcohol. It makes me feel awful within a couple of drinks. Also I have to watch how many citrus fruits I have. I'm okay to have them in water, but eating them is a different story.
avatar

1y

Spicy food, alcohol and acidic foods make my GERD flare up and also bad for my Ulcerative Colitis/digestion in general. I wish I could cut out caffeine to know if that negatively effects me, particularly fatigue and insomnia, because I consume it all of the time, but I'm too addicted....
