what is one way to to tell if your in perimenopause? I have almost every symptom. however I have an iud but it is the lowest hormone I could get and I do recall some symptoms being present before the iud was places.

I am 50 and take norethindrone so I haven’t had periods for 5 years. I started having symptoms and my gyn said to test my hormones I have to stop the pill for at least a month. I don’t know if you’d have to have your IUD removed. The thought of stopping the pill terrifies me because I have a history of very very heavy periods.
