Struggling to Keep a Job and Pay Child Support

I have a very difficult time keeping a job and being able to pay child support to my son who lives with his father. being on medical leave on and off is eventually going to get me way behind on my payments.

Talk to your son's father about it, you can work out an informal agreement while you're in and out of work. If it's not safe to talk to him, go back to court to have the child support agreement changed (which I think is what you're supposed to do anyway when your monthly income changes)

if only it were that easy. My son's father would literally be happy if I spent the rest of my life hospitalized or in prison. But, if I had any other baby daddy that'd probably work. Good idea. Just doesn't work well with my situation. Thank you for the thought.

I may have to go to court, but I worry that it may backfire against me.

talk to a lawyer who specializes in family law. they can help and at least give you some options. it's worth a shot, and having those lawyer visits documented could help your case since you're actively seeking help. talking to a disability lawyer also isn't a bad idea
