Need Job Recommendations for Severe Social Anxiety

I have severe social anxiety but I really need to get a job. I'm 19 and haven't had a job yet. I get anxiety just leaving my house so it's incrediblu hard seeing myself in a working environment. I was looking into remote chat specialist jobs but every one I looked into required customer service experience. So I wanted to ask people for some recommendations on a job because I really have no idea. I just can't stand the idea of an in person job. (Or just some advive on how to overcome my social anxiety cause this sucks :( )

Omg I had the same issue! I was 18 when I got my first job, and was homeschooled my whole life, so I hadn't really talked to anyone that wasn't my cousin's and family. I nearly vomited in the job interview, and couldn't get out of the car my first day at work. But I thought to myself "if I fail, I vomit or whatever happens, atleast I tried". And I just hopped right into it. I still got anxiety the first 6 months of working, but it slowly got better. I feel like acknowledging you have anxiety to the people around you will result in a couple things. They will be supportive and make working easier for you, or if they're toxic, than it's not a good work place anyways. If you tell your future boss in the interview that you get anxious, that could explain why you may suddenly leave the room or something because you are having issues at that moment. Idk, just my thoughts on the matter. Wish you best of luck

Thank you so much! That's honestly really inspiring so again thank you for sharing. I'm also glad it's getting better for you. That's a big accomplishment tbh and I'm proud of you! :)

Always remember that whatever you’re thinking or feeling is sooo much worse than what it actually is or what could happen. Push yourself to do things you’re not very comfortable with. You’ll soon realize that you’re getting better at it. It’s all about proving to your brain that it’s creating unrealistic scenarios that would never happen. It’s like there’s this little evil anxiety demon living in our heads telling us people are going to judge you, you’ll be ridiculed, people will call you an idiot, etc. The thing is none of these things would ever happen. Every single situation I was anxious about in my life turned out to be okay, so okay, not even close to what the little demon made me think could happen 😆

Thank you!! That's honestly so true. I feel so anxious in the moment and will literally think the worst but after I always think to myself it really wasn't that bad lol, but in the end it's a never ending cycle. But thank you again I really appreciate it. I'll try to follow your advice and push myself out of my comfort zone more :)
