Advice on Jobs for Chronically Ill Person?

Hey guys does anyone have any advice on jobs a chronically ill person could have? My mother and I are having hardships with the cost of crisis and my benefits being taken away because I can't go to college so I'd like to try and help.

Can you help? Connect today

in the same boat myself - i’ve been suggested to look for work from home part time jobs or create a business of my own (even if it’s a passive income one). not much help, but it’s a few. id love to find more ideas myself. here if you need to talk to anyone too x

i think it really depends on knowing your limits and capabilities. most places offer reasonable accommodations, but sometimes when you’re chronically ill, as i’m sure u know lol, it’s just not enough. for me i managed to work a retail job as they provided me with a stool so i could frequently sit down. i think a job like a secretary is good for people who generally experience pain or limited mobility as you mostly handle calls and scheduling in your own sitting space. if you’re chronically ill in a sense where you are too sick to often be at work, finding jobs where you can work from home online are great but sometimes hard to come by. i recommend first establishing what you are willing and aren’t willing to do (stand for long, lift a specific amount of weight, work too many hours, etc.) and then next search for jobs. it can’t hurt to apply and discuss these concerns with your employer! good luck :)

I work in tech and it's remote almost 100% of the time. I get to be comfortable and take the breaks I need, and still get the work done. Some tech companies work with unis to provide apprenticeships too and the pay in tech isnt bad, even for juniors.
