My Journey Back to Health: Encouragement and Lessons Learned

Hello! I have just joined because I am finally on the other side of a long hard journey back to health. I hope I can encourage some of you to feel better and share what I have learned along the way. I was diagnosed with SLE, UCTD, Sjogrens, Hashimotos, POTS, hypertension, anxiety & depression, a TBI and lyme disease. those are the main ones - you lose track of the labels after a while. If anyone has a question please reach out!

Welcome! Sounds like you have been through a lot! So glad you are on the other side of your journey. Did you find anything that helps with POTS? My daughter has that and hashimotos.

Sorry it’s taken me a long time to respond! I had forgotten i downloaded this app! POTS medication that helped reset the ADH issue with autonomic nervous system dysfunction for me was desmopressin- used off label for POTS.

I’d love to know what your journey has been like—what the worst symptoms were and how you treated them, what other therapies may have been included, how long it took you to feel somewhat recovered. I am suffering from lyme and sjogren’s and they have ruined my life. I am desperate.

Believe me I understand. I would take EFAs - I like vectomega bc it doesn’t give you the fish burps plus an Omega 7 to help with saliva and dryness for sjogrens. On extreme flare up days i used to take tramadol to modulate the way brain interpreted pain and elevate my mood bc i had severe systemic pain, fatigue, anxiety & depression. Tramadol has a bad rap with FDA but it’s not much more toxic to body as Tylenol. Please read these two books and feel free to ask me about their protocols. One of the docs is a personal friend. From Fatigued to Fantastic (Teitelbaum) & Toxic (Nathan). See if you are in mold. get yourself and living space tested. consider allergies - inhalant, injectant, ingestant & contactants (things you touch or get on your skin) - lessen toxic load - use the Think Dirty App if needed. Things like Tide detergent are the WORST. The obvious like wheat, dairy, etc. Pesticides, bug bites etc. While taking these into consideration look at your histamine responses - maybe try claritin or pepcid. also increase C and take quercetin. The big guns game changers for me have been - Hyperbaric Oxygen (deep dives), NeurOptimal training (i bought my own machine to use) and Cell Core supplements.
