Honestly not much I was diagnosed young and I have a close friend that also has autism but hasn’t been diagnosed yet his now 27 and was put if for a diagnosis at 20 so I don’t want to give your hopes up but I feel your not going to be diagnosed for a very long time

they've told me that I should be quite high on the waiting lost given that I was waiting for a long time on the children's list, but I'm not hoping for too much

So for me, I don't even have the spoons to try and get diagnosed due to how difficult it is for Adult Females to be recognized to be on the spectrum especially when I'm "Socially Masked" very well most of the time. So I just continue my life knowing I'm on the spectrum and having therapists that treat me as such. I hope it goes well for you and you get the diagnosis and it helps you 🙏

There not much preparation needed. I was tested using methods definitely meant for kids, but in the end I got the answers I was looking for. It may feel mildly patronizing but it’s not the worst thing.

this is most likely what I will have. My friend had her assessment recently and had the kids tests, bit still got her answers, and I'm used to being patronised as I'm constantly being treated as a child by educators, so as long as I get the answers and support afterwards, I think it'll be ok. Thank youa

work on unmasking in front of a doctor and explaining your symptoms in a way that makes it sound as if you haven’t self-diagnosed
