It really helped me to start with. Getting used to it was horrible because I was sleeping 14-18 hours a day for a couple weeks. After that, it was great! Really decreased my number of panic attacks too. After being on it so long, I’ve developed pretty bad fatigue. My doc is weaning me off of it. 10mg to 5mg helped with my fatigue almost immediately. Definitely varies by who you are though. Make sure you give it time to work

I started taking it again and I noticed that I had a few headaches. The first morning after taking it and yesterday going into work. Maybe it’s my body just trying to adjust back to the medicine.

I felt a little nauseated and I got headaches for the first couple weeks of taking it, but that went away and it works pretty well for me

I’ve been on if for a little over a year now. It’s a whole lot better for me than Zoloft. I haven’t had any personality changes for the worse or any suicidal ideation. If I take it regularly it really helps me feel safe, even if it does make me feel like a zombie at times.

I haven’t had side effects but also don’t feel much better on it

I haven’t had too many side effects! There was a period when my insurance had denied covering a refill so I had to withdraw from it and that made me super dizzy, out of it, brain zaps. But few side effects from starting it or from taking it for over a year now.

Lexapro is genuinely the most helpful medication I’ve ever been on. It gets rid of my baseline anxiety and makes my panic more manageable!!
