Lexipro not working anymore, what should I do?

I’ve taken lexipro for a year now. I noticed a change at first and it was working but the longer I use it I don’t feel it working anymore.

Can you help? Connect today

I think the same thing happened to me. I was using 5 mg, noticed a change, now up to 10 mg and not noticing anything. I stopped taking it regularly because now all my meds make me nauseous. I feel like I’m back to the way I was before I took it almost. Your body definitely develops a tolerance to the drug but it’s probably not good to stop it completely. It’s probably best to taper it off from what I’ve heard. I think I’m gonna try to start implementing lifestyle changes that will hopefully be more effective than just taking a pill and hoping it will work.

Lexapro was the first anxiety medication I took, not sure how much, (I now take generic prozac), but I remember when I took Lexapro that it gave me headaches and messed with my stomach. I would feel like I'm starving, like I could eat a whole buffet but then I'd take like two bites and feel like I'm going to throw up. This was like 8 years ago now so I don't remember everything. My sister also got headaches when she took it.
