For me, it made school nearly impossible and I ended up failing a lot of classes simply because I couldn't focus or I'd rush through tests. I try to use my ADHD to my advantage though when I get hooked on things (especially for hobbies like art or writing so that I can get a lot done at once) although other times it can be really difficult to stay motivated. Overall though I think there are both blessings and curses that come with ADHD, so I've tried to not let it get me down.

I was only diagnosed two years ago about a month after I graduated high school. It was really bad in school not knowing what was wrong with me. I preformed badly and was undiagnosed so bad time. Still learning and figuring out how it effects me

I got diagnosed recently and realized ive been struggling with this my whole life. I try writing things down and making things easy to find. I joined a support group and one thing we all realized is our long term memory is great, but short term is not so good. I am trying to take advantage or accommodate for that.

i was diagnosed recently but i’ve suspected ive had it for many years and ive been struggling with it my entire life. its really hard and im just now trying to find the right medication. staying organized, impulsive spending/ decisions, and procrastination are my three top symptoms that run my life currently. i find myself stressed often. its not a fun disorder lol

It made our education difficult to focus on and truly accomplish, and we had no idea until fairly late into it anyway, so I didn’t get any accommodations until much much later.

I started showing symptoms in 4th grade but didn't get diagnosed until 8th grade because I was doing to well academically. I didn't understand why I had to work so much harder then my peers at simple tasks such as reading an article or understanding the assignment. But I was in all honor classes so no one thought anything of it. I fly got diagnosed when I went to a therapist for anxiety. A fee appointments in and trying to treat anxiety and they finally gave me the right medication and diagnoses.

My brain is constantly going and I can never really get a break from my thoughts so I personally turned to weed and vaping and unhealthy things like that. I can never focus on one thing and it is very easy to get distracted. I seem to like to space off a lot and kind of go into my own world which is weird because people ask me if I'm alright and they say I don't blink 😅

So far, these are all things I find myself still struggling with, but my meds are amazing. Keep up the good fight, everyone! 🌼✨🌺

What your mom did was a form of child abuse & she owes u an apology for what she did. I had problems as a kid & maybe should've been put on Ritalin for ADD but wasn't but other than that I'm glad my mom, even though she could be a real pain at times since she was extremely overprotective , didn't do that to me.
