Living with Bipolar Disorder: Will I Always Feel Like Two Different People?

Hello. I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in 2006. Sometimes I feel like I am better and sometimes I feel like my mind races out of control or I'm out of control. Will I always feel like this? Like I'm two or even more than two different people/sides of me?

Yeah, I sometimes get that feeling too, and I've been on medication since 2007. It gets better with time, but finding the right medication combination is key. Be sure to tell your prescriber and your therapist everything.

I was diagnosed in 2004 and have been on meds since. Over the years there has been times I quit my meds thinking I'm healed. Just to find out it was a manic episode. I still get confused if my mood is elevated if it's just a good day or if I'm hypomanic. And then I get scared because even with meds when I crash I crash hard. My best advice is to be 100% honest with your psychiatrist and therapist
