Living with Chronic Pain in My Hands and Arms

I've had chronic pain in my joints since I was a kid. I was that weird one wrapped up in an ace bandage my entire school life. As an adult it's even worse. How do I make my hands and arms work enough to make a living? Everything causes pain. I can't even grip things without it hurting or my hands giving out. Does anyone else have so much trouble with their hands or thumbs? Any advice would be great!

I got fitted for silver ringsplints when I started having problems with my fingers and thumbs. They've honestly saved my career

Are they really worth the price? I had an OT suggest them a long time ago, but I don't really have $500 to drop on something that might not work or fit.

oh my god yes I got them in undergrad and literally I wouldn't be able to work in my career field without them. I couldn't hold a pencil. It was awful. $800 later and now I'm a professional wig maker. 10/10 investment tbh

Wow! I'll have to ask my PT next week. Thank you, I appreciate it! And I'm so happy it's helped you so much!

Same with the ring splints! They have helped me so much. My thumbs easily dislocate on the daily, and the splints keep them in place without fully inhibiting my abilities. I have gotten all of mine from this company called ZebraSplints, the most expensive splints are only a little over $100, so definitely worth checking out!
