Living with Chronic Pain: My Story

Hello, My name is Shea, I have suffered from medical issues of different natures since I was 15. Currently I’m feeling overwhelmed with a new diagnosis of arthritis in my spine… I’m only 36 and I can’t imagine living in this pain for 25-30+ more years. Always a joker tho, I like to have fun and make fun on myself and all my issues in good days. On bad days, you can find me laying in bed with my favorite doggy. That’s a little about me, just wanted to say, Hello everyone!

I’m sorry Shea. After I added my comment, it felt so cold. We all joined this group to find others who understand our anxiety, panic ext. we all have a situation that we are challenged each and every day. 💕

Hi Shea! I have fibromyalgia and a host of other health problems. Some days are better than others. I also have a wicked sense of humor and can laugh at myself and the things I go through ❤️

I’m in a similar situation, I’m 34 and coming to terms that I am going to be in pain for the rest of my life. I have a lot of spine issues from years of falling off horses and I ended up getting some injections and spinal ablation in my lower back that made a huge difference. No treatment will take the pain away completely, but there are procedures that can help alleviate some of the pain.

Hi, glad you’re here! I’m so sorry about your pain :( What kind of dog do you have ? I have a mutt (mainly lab) that I love to death. He’s a goofball and keeps me laughing and moving even on my worst days. Dogs are the best 🐶

Currently going through the whole candy pack of doctors for an undiagnosed autoimmune issue. It's the worse and the pain Nintendo stop everyday, ugh. Hang in there! Dogs are the best at silently understanding.

I know how you feel! I have arthritis in both my knees and some days its hard to get out of bed or even walk and being obese doesn't help anything. I am currently trying to lose weight and trying my current medication of cymbalta. I have three dogs and they are the best to work through the pain. If you ever need to talk you can message me:)

Hi Shea, I understand completely, I have fibromyalgia, arthritis in my spine as well as lots of other places, degenerative disc disease and many other health difficulties. Mine started when I was 25 and I had my first spinal surgery that year, the pain came back hard about 6 yrs later and I’ve not once been free from it since and I’ll turn 42 next week. I spend my bad days in bed as well but I’m usually cuddling my 9 yr old daughter or one of my two kitties 🥰
